is there some sort of career for natural herbal doctors?

Posted by admin on Sep 23, 2009

i want to become a natural herbal doctor(haha if that title exists) instead of a regular doctor, because i would prefer to prescribe natural medicines instead of medicines full of chemicals and all that stuff. And I also want a career. So i was wondering if there is one?which in involves learning about herbs and natural remedies.I’m pretty sure you dont need a career for that but who knows maybe you do.and it doesn’t hurt asking.

If you don’t become a doctor(Phd), you can not be a herbal doctor.

Practicing medicine without out a license is a serious crime., and has severe civil liability.

Plants are full of chemicals.

People don’t need herbalist to treat themselves with herbs, there is no prescription required. They just need to learn about them, then at the supermarket, or health food store. Health food store emplyees will tell you what the usual herb or vitamin is for a particular concern.

Top To Toe Holistics:

There are courses available to become a Herbalist, which is a qualified professional who consults with clients and, if necessary, recommends prescriptions of natural herbs to deal with certain conditions or illnesses. The main difference between a GP and a Herbalist is that the Herbalist approaches each condition in a holistic way – that is, they consider the client’s mental, physical and emotional health and how they all inter-relate to the condition, trying to address the cause of the symptoms and not just the symptoms themselves.
Herbalism courses vary hugely from city to city and country to country and the type of course on offer depends on where you live and how popular the demand is for the course. Many courses cannot be financed through government or other funding and may require your own funding, but this is worthwhile checking. Courses vary in length too but generally Herbalism courses (to become a qualified Herbalist) will be at least 2 years in length, full time.
Another alternative practitioner career choice could be Homeopathy, which is where natural substances and their vibratory essences are used to treat conditions and their cause.
Both subjects of alternative medicine delve into not only the scientific aspect of natural remedies but also an alternative way of life, of thinking and of looking at the world.

Have a look in your local area for Herbalism or Homeopathy courses and find out as much as you can about them before deciding if they are right for you.

Herbal "medicine" is completely unregulated so you don’t have to know anything to become an herbalist. You should probably take a lot of business classes in college, if you go, as well as some acting classes. You’re going to need to know how to sell worthless products to people that don’t need them and do so with a serious face so that they actually think you know what you’re talking about and that you aren’t just making it up on the spot. Also, you should avoid reading all the medical research that explains how all herbal supplements are just worthless placebos, that way when you get sued for fraud, and you will be eventually, you can honestly claim that you didn’t know you weren’t telling the truth to the poor women who’s son died of cancer because you sold her herbs when what she needed was chemotherapy.

Top Toe – If you want to believe in a bunch of drivel about magical healing crystal and herbal "medication" that’s fine. But don’t come on this site with your ridiculous lies and tell people a line of BS to people with real problems. Every person you convince to use crystal to heal a serious illness is another needless death from a preventable disease. I come to this section to save people from the likes of you.

I’m fully aware that some plants have healing abilities. But to actually use them functionally they have to be studied, processed, and distributed in a controlled manner. True medical science is constantly looking to plants for beneficial chemicals, but until science proves it those plants cannot be considered medicine. Willow bark became aspirin yes, but that doesn’t mean that lies such as cinnamon cures cancer are true; and yes, I have seen people like you on this site telling poor, sick people that cinnamon cures cancer. Reason should always be used to determine medicine, not faith.

I don’t think you should try to simply educate yourself and proceed by trial and error when people’s health and lives may be at stake, but I surely applaud what you want to do. Your best bets are to either find yourself a true master herbalist and apprentice yourself to them or else you could opt to get a degree at one of the better Naturopathic colleges, such as Bastyr University.

Don’t listen to the mainstream clowns that have infested this section – what you want to do is an honorable thing, as mankind has looked to nature and herbs for healing for many thousands of years and to this very day 80% of the people of the world rely on herbal healing.

The big scam is modern mainstream medicine, which has conspired for a century and a half to replace natural healing with man made drugs which manage illness for profit instead of healing illness for health and humanity.

When anyone tries to tell you differntly, just tell them to take a look at:

"Modern Medicine: How Healing Illness became Managing Illness"

Inspite of all the generations of brainwashing and all the billions spent on "Just Ask Your Doctor" commercials, it is hard to argue with facts and history.

"Nature is the physician of man" – Hippocrates "The father of modern medicine"

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." – Thomas Edison

"Unless the doctor of today becomes the dietitian of tomorrow, the dietitian of today will become the doctor of tomorrow." – Dr. Alexis Carrol (Famous Biological Scientist and head of the Rockefeller Institute.)

There is no such thing as a ‘herbal doctor’, though there are people who will wear white coats and pretend to be!

Natural medicines don’t work: Simple fact. People who say they do generally understand very little about how human biology, virus and diseases work. If it works from nature (like aspirin) then it’s extracted, purified and turned into pills.

If you want to see how crazy some of the alternative medicine is, take a look at ‘top to toe’s’ website and checkout the quartz crystal where she says:

"Double terminated crystals move energy in two directions at the same time and are excellent in unblocking negative energy"

!!

or my favourite: "Small crystals retain the energy and properties of the larger piece from where it came from or from the area in which it was mined."

Pretty crazy as anyone who understands the first thing about ‘energy’ will understand.

It’s good to want to help people, but you really need to have a proper understanding of how the body works, rather than just guessing or making stuff up. Train to become a proper doctor, then after all the correct training, you can decide whether you think ‘herbs’ really cure disease.

Hopefully you’ll find out why they’re not used in hospitals too!

Oh, you can always find plenty of gullible fools who’ll swallow that garbage. Of course, you have to be an entirely heartless, evil creature to do that to folks. Or didn’t you realize "herbal medicine" is a crock?

Don’t listen to these brainwashed sheep that think if an MD doesn’t give it to you it will kill you. I grew up and only took a pharmaceutical drug once in my life. It was an antibiotic due to a serious strep throat infection. Alternative medicine can do wonders for problems that the body can heal on its own. MD’s & DO’s do really well on problems that are outside the body’s ability to heal. Natural medicine is a very honorable career choice. Naturopaths are wonderful doctors. They do much better than medical doctors in looking for the root of the problem. Instead of looking at a headache as an aspirin deficiency, they try to determine the cause of the headache and treat the patient accordingly. If this is something you are interested in you should definitely pursue it. And on the bright side, the substances you give your patients won’t kill hundreds of thousands of them every year.
