I feel guilty about what I ate today and I feel fat. Please help me!?
Posted by admin on Feb 15, 2010
This is what I have eaten today:
-one smoothie
-a salad
-a bowl of life cereal with light soymilk
-two peices of bread with all natural peanut butter
-like 10 club crackers
-granola
-an apple
-half a veggie burger patty (I stopped eating it because it was nasty)
I feel really over stuffed, disgusting, and fat. I almost made myself puke but I stopped right as I was about to. Should I feel guilty about what I ate today? I am 4′11 and I weigh 96 pounds. I am very uncomfortable with my body weight and I know I am not fat, but I just don’t feel comfortable. If I drink only water and fruit juice for a week how much weight will I lose? Please don’t inform me of the health risks unless you are also going to answer my question. I am very self concious.
You are not fat, your BMI is 19.4, that’s on the lower side of normal range. If you go any lower you will be underweight. When you fast on juice and water, you tend to lose about a pound a day. It sounds like you already eat very healthy, so I don’t think you are going to have a ton of toxins in your body to rid yourself of.
I think a better option for you would be to just slowly add more exercise in your daily routine. Also, remember to drink lots of water, and eat SLOWLY. When you eat too fast the message that you are getting full doesn’t arrive to your brain so you tend to overeat…could be why you were feeling stuffed.
On another note,
We are bombarded with images of anorexic looking models and actresses all the time. Just remember that we are effected psychologically by the messages sent by the media, that may help you get to the root of why you are uncomfortable with how you look.

You should not feel guilty. You ate pretty darn healthy. you are at a very healthy weight and you definitely don’t need to lose any. I am a recovering anorexic, and I will not help you. You know what you are doing is unhealthy and I would greatly advise you to call this number 1-800-931-2237 they can help you more. You really don’t need to lose weight. And chances are you will not lose much if any weight not eating for a whole week, because your body will go into self preservation mode, and save every calorie you put in via juice.

You probably won’t loose much weight. It just depends on how much of the fruit and water you eat/drink.If you really want to lose some weight you might have to completly change your diet though. Of course they are both very good sources, of which you need. I understand what you mean about the self concious thing, its okay. Keep in mind, there are way worse of people than you. Your tiny!:)
hope that helped a little.

Don’t feel guilty. Tomorrow is another day. You will feel better. Fasting for a week might lead to another binge and more guilt. Are you sure you don’t have a sensitivity to soy? Some people feel stuffed and bloated after using it. If you are lactose intolerant, try rice milk. I am not a big fan of soy milk at all. Perhaps you should check out a site like SparkPeople. It’s free and you will find out if you are where you need to be. I think perhaps you might even need to gain. Anyway, that stuffed feeling could be an allergy. Just take it easy and try to think about what you are eating and you will be ok.
