* I n g r e d i e n t s *
— 2 Young Coconuts (Coconut Water)
— 1-2 cups of fresh Figs
— 4 Bananas, as ripe as you can stand
— 1 bunch of Kale (with leaves torn off of stems)
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Open young coconuts to get coconut water out ~ watch this video if you need help: http://bit.ly/u9Q4j
— 2) Add the coconut water, fresh figs, bananas and kale leaves to your Vita-Mix, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9
— 3) Blend until desired consistency is reached.
— 4) Enjoy!

— Figs are really good for your body, and especially for men and their virility
— If you are just starting out on the raw food path, make the mental decision to aim for 80% raw, and then just always focus on adding as much raw food as you can to your diet. Do not worry if you aren’t 100% raw!
— Take it easy, and remember that slow and steady wins the race.
— Be prepared for the possibility that you will go through some challenges as your body detoxes, and no longer receives artificial stimulants from cooked foods and the chemicals that were in them. Your adrenals could very well have shut down while receiving these artificial stimulants, so it might take a bit of time before your body gets them recharged and functioning again…but it *will* happen.
— Remember…you are on nature’s schedule! Allow your body to clean itself out and get naturally functioning again. It has taken your whole life to get where you are, so it is going to take some time to undo everything. You won’t get healthy overnight, but you *will* get healthy as fast as mother nature allows!

This is the thing I’m talking about! What a great vid! You totally explained the detox thing very good. I’m not raw, vegan or vegetarian, but in two months I will move out and can choose what I want to eat and buy myself. I’m so going to do this man! Thanks a lot!

This is just what I needed to hear today. Yesterday was my 28th birthday and I decided that I want to start this next year of my life really working towards better health. Today I start my Raw foods journey. Biggest scare is that I’ll slip up so this video really keeps it real.

Thank you for your honesty, it really helps me want to go more into raw food and not feel I have to be ‘perfect’ (or Californian!). I have eaten more raw since I started watching your films. Other raw fooders make me feel they have got it all sussed and I’m supposed to do what they do; you make me feel I can just be myself.

I had a fig once, it was sweet but was too mushy for me. It was a labeled as a “green fig” but i think it was acutally a totato fig. Are you using a Mission fig in this vid?

It is a slow gradual process! The longer you stay raw and get plenty of rest the stronger and stronger your adrenals will get! Your adrenals are getting stronger everyday! Drink parsley juice mixed w/apples and carrots to build adrenal power!

How long did it take on raw foods before your adrenals got back to normal function? I have adrenal fatigue right now and I have been raw for 20 days… I’m just wondering an estimate of how long it took for you personally..

Hi Dan, i started …
Hi Dan, i started raw foods in April and have experienced the weight and health benefits.
This week I have been eating like there is no tomorrow. After the bkft smoothie, I’m still hungry. I’ve enlarged my lunch. I’m still hungry. Dinner, I eat and eat. My stomach is now full, but I still want to eat.
So far the scale has not registered an increase. I hope this phase ends soon before I regain my weight.
Great video, but I say that every time. Now to check out the magazine…

David Klein is the reason I got into raw foods. He wrote the book Self healing colitis and chrons and it saved my life! I’ve been 90% raw since I read it, about 10 months ago. Off all meds, stomach feels better then ever, I just still don’t have the energy these raw folks speak of. Makes sense that it will take time. I do get glimpses of high energy so I stick with it! I do get doubts sometimes that raw foods have everything we need. b12 and stuff… so I continue to experiment.

Also these videos are my meals that I eat! It doesn’t get more real than that and I do not eat food that does not taste good! I only have ten minutes to share and these videos are very spontaneous and real so sometimes the information is more important than the food itself! I have a suggestion …
I have a suggestion. I have watched your vids but something thats missing is the end result. You always show what goes into it but not what it looks like after. If you show us what it looks like and maybe even taste it and describe it that would make it so much more real and motivating to try it out. Otherwise it just looks like you threw a whole bunch of health food into a blender and there’s no connection there with wanting to try it for those of us who don’t eat as well and would like to.

I checked the link, very informative. I like th eidea about trying to be 80% first but i don’t want to rely on that %20 if you know what i mean. I just know i will build up dependency around it.
Think i’ll use the 20% as a buffer for if i get really bad cravings. Something that doesn’t compliment veg and fruit so i know i need to hunker down some more till its natural.
