Health, Nutrition and Safety on Children?

I’m supposed to write a research paper on Health,Nutrition and Safety of Children for my ECE class. I’m just not sure what to research about. Can you give me any ideas what issues today that’s related to these 3 topics?
How about looking at snack foods that provide good nutritional value for children. You could include a part about commonly provided snack foods by parents that could endanger a child. A young child’s airway is smaller in diameter making certain foods dangerous–such as peanuts, chips, marshmallows, and hot dogs.
