Do I have to take health class?

Posted by admin on Sep 29, 2009

I have a health class and I really do not care much for the subject matter. Does everyone have to be exposed to the subject matter even if it goes against what they believe ( not implicating anything but I dont feel a need to take it) . Is there any way I can get out of it, because I have heard of people taking alternate courses instead (like James Hetfield ) thx

I don’t know about your school, but at my school it’s mandatory but you only have to take it once….

It depends on your state education department’s guidelines for graduation. The ones I am familiar with all require a health class in order to graduate.

It might also be required by the college you might be interested in attending. In fact, my college freshman child is having to take a health class that all incoming freshmen are required by that state to take.

I don’t know about getting out of taking it – I don’t think I have ever heard of anyone doing that.
